Cytokeratin AE1+AE3 Clone number AE1+AE3, This AE1/AE3 antibody cocktail recognizes most of the acidic (Type I) keratins as well as basic (Type II). It recognizes keratin polypeptides of 40, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56.5, 58, 59 and 64to 67 kD. In keratinized epidermis, 50 kD keratin is present in the basal layer, while 56.5 kD keratin is present in suprabasal layers.
