The pump was designed to reduce the number of wear parts and minimize the force on the remaining wear parts for long life. The high-contact metal parts are plasma-treated to yield the maximum corrosion resistance. To increase the service intervals, the pump features an outlet-mounted anti-suckback valve to inhibit corrosive vapors from entering the pump and a redesigned oil flow path which also reduce pump noise.
