The hood includes three collars for connection to remotely located acid exhaust blower, hood heat exhaust blower, and auxiliary-air blower inlet. The models are constructed of epoxy-coated steel, reinforced with tubular steel and tempered safety glass, and horizontal-sliding sashes. The lower digestion rack and upper distillation rack allows you to determine total nitrogen content within a variety of materials such as feeds, grains, soils, fertilizers, plant tissue, water, organic wastes, and food products. The distillation manifold is equipped with seamless stainless-steel tubes. No fittings or gaskets are required, eliminating potential leaks. To assure uniform results, the counterflow heat exchanger allows you to control back pressure and maximize the rate of distillation. The cooling water volume can be easily adjusted with the remote-control flow valve. The connecting bulbs separates liquid from vapors prior to the vapors entering the condenser. It effectively traps caustic mist that may carry over to the recovery solution. The one-piece borosilicate glass delivery tube features a long neck, round bottom, and thick walls to help eliminate pressure fluctuations in the distillation phase. To provide evenly distributed heat and faster processing of samples, the curved ceramic electric heaters follow the round base of the Kjeldahl flask. Heaters accommodate 500- and 800-mL flasks (not included). Three models are available with the capacity to digest and distill up to 6, 12 or 18 samples at a time.
