Short-path distillation is a distillation technique that involves the distillate travelling a short distance and done at reduced pressure. This process is ideal when higher temperatures of traditional distillation would degrade the sample to be distilled, for compounds that are unstable at high temperatures, or for purifying small amounts of compound.
