The locator, consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, helps you trace cables and metallic conductors in walls or buried underground. The locator can also be used to identify fuses or breakers on circuits, find breaks or short circuits on cables, and trace metal water and heating pipes. View signal level, the transmission code, and detected voltage (12, 50, 120, 230, and 400 V AC/DC) on the transmitter LCD. It generates a signal on dead or isolated cables and conductor for easy location. The receiver displays the signal strength, the transmission code, and the presence of mains voltage. Select to set signal sensitivity to automatic or manual adjustment for increased accuracy. It can detect buried cables up to 2.5 m (8.2 ft) in depth. An audible signal and bar graph display notify users to when voltage is detected. The receiver has a built-in flashlight?great when working in dimly lit areas. Both the transmitter and receiver feature auto power-off and low battery indicator.
