It has a resistance range of 20 to 1000 M at 500 VAC. A scale of colored LED lights allow you to instantly verify the condition of the insulation being tested. Three zones are featured on the megohmmeter: bad, caution, and good. A red LED light illuminates in the bad zone for readings below 20 M, which indicate low insulation or short circuit. The caution zone features yellow LED lights which illuminate for readings between 40 and 100 M. Green LED lights illuminate in the good zone for readings between 150 to 1000 M. If the on light is illuminated but no other light appears on the units scale, then the insulation value is greater than 1000 M.
