The durable plates with 96 or 384 deep wells can be used with all pipettes. There also is a low-profile 96-well plate with about 30-percent reduced space, which in turn provides a shallower well, and larger cross-section by about 15-percent. Specifically, it is 26.5 mm tall with a well diameter of 8.2 mm. The plates with 96 wells are edgeless with a U-shape bottom for optimal sample mixing and recovery and have a temperature range from -80 to 121 C. All plates are free of RNase, DNase, endotoxins and DNA, excluding one crafted of polystyrene. In an effort to lessen sample evaporation, use the deep-well sealing mats to effectively seal the plates.
