Non-Sealed Tubs handle your routine drying applications. Tubs are available in stainless steel and glass. Choose high-grade stainless steel for high product purity and good chemical and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Glass tubs are useful for observation of applications and determination of the optimum fluidizing velocity. The 2- and 5-L units handle samples up to 11 lb (5.0 kg). Model 02658-02 includes a port for temperature/humidity probe insertion. Use multi-tub units for simultaneous drying of four 250 mL samples. Required filter bags sold separately. Sealed Tubs allow the drying of smaller particles with reduced sample loss. To avoid overflow of sample into the filter bag, the filter plate seals on a silicon O-ring, retaining the sample in the tub. Particles as small as 5 <mu>m can be dried using this method. Model 02658-01 includes a port to add extra sample and a port for a temperature/humidity probe. Sealed multi-tub assemblies come with a stainless steel 60 mesh filter top cap.
