Valves have a precision thermal actuator that senses incoming water temperature and automatically blends water to a preset temperature. Factory preset is to deliver 85?F (29?C) water. Temperature of tepid water can be adjusted as required and then locked. All valves are furnished with a dial temperature gauge for quick and easy monitoring of water temperature. If the supply of hot water is restricted or interrupted, an internal bypass allows the valve to deliver cold water only. If the supply of cold water is interrupted, the valve will close completely and not deliver any water, eliminating the possibility of scalding. All units are completely assembled and water tested prior to shipment. Choose from two valve flow capacity options. Valve with a flow capacity of 13 GPM (49 LPM) at 30 psi is suitable for use with emergency eyewash, eye/face wash, or drench hose units. Valve with a flow capacity of 50 GPM (189 LPM) is suitable for use with emergency shower or combination safety stations.
